Will be technological home care platform in the Czech Republic?

A meeting of home care experts was held on Wednesday 18th April 2018 in European House in Prague to support the emergence of innovations in the home care in the Czech Republic. The meeting was organized in the framework of the project HoCare by DEX Innovation Centre from Liberec which is a project realization in the Czech Republic. Participants of the event from a different organization, as universities – Czech Technical University in Prague, hospitals – University Hospital in Plzeň, ministeries, technological companies – High Tech Park, and innovation centres as well as social organizations discussed the possibility of formation of the technological platform and realization of the pilot project.

Already at the previous meeting, members of the interest group agreed that the platform that will bring information and link service providers with developers, entrepreneurs and government is very much needed in the Czech Republic. "The aim of the platform should be to promote cooperation and communication between members of the quadruple-helix model at a local level, where it should respond to the needs of care providers, municipalities and families, but also at the national level, defining standards, laws, efficient drawing of funds from structural funds and cooperation with foreign countries ", says Jan Havlík from Czech Technical University in Prague. A very strong ecosystem already exists in the Central Bohemian region, where such a platform is being shaped. It could serve as a pilot project for a local level and try to find out which communication and collaboration tools are working best.
