Innovating healthcare beyond funding (physical event)
The spring edition of EIT Health Morning Health Talks, organised by DEX Innovation Centre in Prague, explored how to bring healthcare innovation into real-world practice. Under the title Innovating Healthcare Beyond Funding, over 40 experts from hospitals, insurers, government, startups, and universities met to discuss key barriers: lack of time, low motivation, communication gaps, and fears of disrupting staff routines. Danish speaker Brian Holch Kristensen shared how public hospitals can systemically adopt innovation. Panelists stressed the need for strong ideas, safe solutions, and better startup–hospital collaboration. The event confirmed the value of EIT Health Morning Health Talks in building a supportive ecosystem where healthcare innovations can truly take root. Participants also noted that early-stage companies bring fresh energy but need structured support to connect with healthcare systems. Events like these help align innovation efforts with real clinical needs.
