Which challenges does the project RADAR Care target?

Older people in the border regions of Central Europe do not always benefit equally from new care technologies. Rules, technical systems and the experience of care staff differ from country to country, so a solution that works in one region is not easily introduced in another.

How does RADAR Care address them?

RADAR Care builds on the results of earlier Interreg projects that combine radar technologies with smart textiles. These solutions monitor movement and possible risks without cameras or intrusive devices. Care providers in new regions will test them in different homes and care services, while the partners refine the instructions and training for care staff.

What are the expected results of the project?

A safer and more consistent way of introducing privacy-friendly monitoring in elderly care across borders, tested in two pilots and supported by shared methods and training for care providers.

What is the role of DEX Innovation Centre?

DEX Innovation Centre co-leads the work package that consolidates the methods for cross-border innovation in elderly care, and is the Communication Leader of the whole project. We also deliver the Czech contribution to the project's activities.
