SMEs are learning how to work with CNC

20. 12. 2021

To support the digitalisation of the region, we have launched our program to educate companies not only from the Liberec region.

Before Christmas, we held a workshop on CNC and 3D printing for those interested in small and medium-sized companies. We opened the workshop mainly for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises from the Liberec region, but due to the fact that we also conducted mapping of companies in the Hradec Králové region, we decided to contact companies from this region too. We mainly involved smaller companies in both workshops, because this target group was considered the most suitable for us due to the possibility of a greater impact on their future activities and, last but not least, due to the focus of our FabLab.

The aim of the workshop was to learn the basics of CNC and 3D printing. The participants of the workshop met from different fields and with a different awareness of the topic. However, we managed to create an interesting atmosphere and discuss the most important areas of CNC and the basics of 3D printing. However, the topics that were discussed would deserve a larger time allowance and it would be appropriate to implement it as a two-day workshop.

The next workshop will take place on February 4 and will offer participants another interesting option of education on topics such as 3D printing or machining.

More workshops about I4.0:
We are also preparing workshops for managers in February, in which we will focus on:

This activity is part of the long-term cooperation of an international partnership, in which we try to support companies in the region and show them the possibilities that technology, in this case, CNC and 3D printing, can bring them.
