Experts from the healthcare ecosystem addressed how to collaborate effectively

Healthcare needs change. On the positive side, healthcare experts are open to change and want to collaborate. There is a need for innovation, changes in education, connecting needs and solutions, sustainability of funding and staffing, as well as healthy longevity or open data. The 5th EIT Morning Health Talk offered a range of topics discussed by representatives of major organisations and companies from the Czech healthcare ecosystem.


 

DEX IC success: HealthLabs4Value for patient-oriented healthcare written by us has received funding

Value-Based Healthcare System will be implemented in 5 territories with Open Innovation 2.0 Principles. Health Labs4Value written by DEX IC brings Advance Patient-Oriented Solutions in Healthcare. Initiative is powered by Central Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency and in Czech supported by DEX Innovation Centre and Regional Hospital Liberec.

Co-creation Lab in the Czech Republic successfully established!

Representatives of companies, public administration, universities and research institutions and organizations providing social care have met all together in Prague. They discussed common problems and further cooperation in the HoCare2.0 project. These participants will be part of the Co-creation Lab in the Czech Republic.

The winning team from local i-Days in Prague went to Paris!

On November 1st, we organized local EIT Health Innovation Day in Prague. Students have been given the task to design smart glasses for seniors with mild cognitive impairment. The winning team consisting of three young women did an excellent job! They won a trip to Paris to the Winners Event where they had a chance to further work on their idea.

We attended the Socil Life Science platform Kick-off - innovation in home care services

The Kick-off event of Social Life Science platform  - Innovation of home care services took place in Central Bohemian Innovation Centre (SIC) on 19th of June 2018. DEX Innovation Centre, as the implementer of HoCare project, was present here too.

SIC's Innovative platform's goal is to strengthen the mutual collaboration of institutions, subjects and individuals acting in the field of integrated care. In this innovative platform, many experts will be involved - universities, research centres, towns or interest associations. Thanks to the involvement of top professionals will be the Social Life Sciences platform able to promote its visions, needs and at the same time to provide sufficient information about the latest topics in the field of integrated care.

Will be technological home care platform in the Czech Republic?

A meeting of home care experts was held on Wednesday 18th April 2018 in European House in Prague to support the emergence of innovations in the home care in the Czech Republic. The meeting was organized in the framework of the project HoCare by DEX Innovation Centre from Liberec which is a project realization in the Czech Republic. Participants of the event from a different organization, as universities – Czech Technical University in Prague, hospitals – University Hospital in Plzeň, ministeries, technological companies – High Tech Park, and innovation centres as well as social organizations discussed the possibility of formation of the technological platform and realization of the pilot project.  

ICT technologies empowering people with mild dementia and their carers, 1st February, Madrid

It is estimated that around 9 million people are living with dementia in Europe.  Dementia symptoms tend to get worse over time and gradually begins to damage the brain. A project SMART4MD developed a computer tablet-based application that focuses especially on the needs of people with mild dementia. At the conference, project consortium and experts with technological and healthcare background will discuss approaches to the treatment of mild dementia and how SMART4MD application and other ICT technologies can improve the effort for a better life of patients, their caregivers, as well as healthcare and ICT professionals.
