HoCare results presented during final communication policy event in Nicosia

The Interreg Europe HoCare project’s Final event was successfully organized in Nicosia, Cyprus on Thursday, 3 October 2019. The event, under the title “HoCare High Level Political Dissemination Event” was under the aegis of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Constantinos Ioannou. In the first part, welcoming speeches were made by Mr. Christos Pittaras, ANEL’s President and Mayor of Latsia, Mrs. Constantia Constantinou representing the Directorate General for European Programs, Coordination and Development, Mr. Ierotheos Papadopoulos, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus and Mr. Andreas Xenofontos, Director of the Nursing Services of the Ministry of Health (on behalf of the Minister).

Mrs. Mar Martin, the HoCare policy officer representing the JS followed with a short presentation about the Interreg Europe program’s objectives and results so far. The next part of the event’s agenda was constituted by a brief general presentation about the HoCare project by Mr. Eleftherios Loizou, the project coordinator representing the LP (Nicosia Development Agency -ANEL) and a short presentation about the exchange of experience process of the project by Mr. Michal Štefan, WP3 coordinator representing DEX Innovation Centre. During the main part of the event, all partners presented the impact of HoCare project’s results in their region in relation to the succeeded regional policy improvements.

A fact that was continuously highlighted through the welcoming speeches and the presentations, was the high level of qualitative implementation of the HoCare project, a product of an excellent cooperation between the partnes and the high level of the project’s success in improving the targeted regional Policy Instruments in practice.

The event was attended by high level ranking officials from all partner regions as well as by several representatives of local authorities, local relevant NGOs, universities and private entities.
