DEX IC continues as EIT InnoEnergy Hub in the Czech Republic!

EIT InnoEnergy is the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe. They support and invest in innovation at every stage of the journey – from classroom to end-customer. EIT InnoEnergy works in three essential areas of the innovation mix:
- Education to help create an informed and ambitious workforce that understands the demands of sustainability and the needs of the industry.
- Innovation Projects to bring together ideas, inventors and industry to create commercially attractive technologies that deliver real results to customers.
- Business Creation Services to support entrepreneurs and start-ups who are expanding Europe’s energy ecosystem with their innovative offerings.
Bringing these disciplines together maximizes the impact of each, accelerates the development of market-ready solutions and creates a fertile environment in which EIT InnoEnergy can sell the innovative results of their work.
During the previous period, we have been implementing activities under the flag of EIT InnoEnergy in the Czech Republic. We have organized 2 pre-acceleration programmes (Primer) that attracted over 50 applications. In total, 33 teams had the opportunity to pitch their solutions at the final Demo Days. PowerUp! Challenge in Czechia brought 8 Energy startups that had the opportunity to pitch for more than 200 viewers during the Czech Final. The winner, Pocket Virtuality, then advanced to the Grand Final - they placed 3rd in the tough competition of other startups from the Central and Eastern Europe.
Moreover, we have been building awareness about EIT InnoEnergy within key Czech stakeholders and strengthening the relationships in order to support the mission of EIT InnoEnergy.
