At the end of 2021, the pilot phase of the EU eDigiStart project took place, which offered an insight into the social aspect of European projects. Digital literacy training was aimed at jobseekers over the age of 50.
During October, the city district of Prague 9, in cooperation with the Labor Office, addressed job seekers for whom the course was open. During November, its participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of Microsoft Office and social media. The course was not easy for many of the participants.
The course itself was accompanied by unexpected situations. For example, the hygienic regulations of the Czech government have been tightened several times. Despite all the complications, 16 graduates successfully completed the course. We believe that the newly acquired knowledge will help them in their search for a job. In addition to very practical lessons, the graduates managed to prepare a professional-looking presentation in the final exam, for example, which they can use in the entrance interview. Or demonstrate knowledge of Word and Excel, which are now common basic conditions of employment.
Project co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA II, ENI).
