DEX IC to moderate regional conference

The event was hosted by CzechInvest and Liberec region. Mr. Puta, the regional governor, was an official patron of the conference. The main purpose of the event was an introduction of applied research and its support in our region.

We primarily focused on the connection between private companies and universities or research institutes. Such an example is cooperation between the Membrain research center and the Kitl Company producing fruit syrups. Another example is a partnership between VUTS and TOS Varnsdorf, which helped to develop advanced CNC machines. During the conference, a variety of support options was presented by officials from intermediary organizations including the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Technology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The moderator, Mr. Jan Forman from DEX IC, said: “In my opinion, the conference was a great success. Today, innovations are part of successful companies’ DNA and I am very glad, that we have such enterprises in our region. Special thanks to the Technical University Liberec and other research centers, without which such cooperation could not take place.”
