REUSE2030 at the NiCE Conference: Engaging Businesses and Cities in Circular Transformation

02. 03. 2026

The REUSE2030 project, in which DEX Innovation Centre participates as a project partner, will be featured at the international NiCE Conference "From Niche to Centre", taking place on 11–12 March 2026 in Dessau-Roßlau, Germany. The programme will include an interactive workshop dedicated to strengthening collaboration between small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial actors, and public authorities in advancing circular economy practices across European cities and regions.

Businesses as Drivers of Circular Transformation

The workshop will focus on how SMEs and industrial partners can become active drivers of circular transformation – whether by adopting resource-efficient practices or by reducing impacts along value chains. Participants will also explore proven strategies for engaging hard-to-reach stakeholders, such as manufacturers, suppliers, and wider industrial ecosystems.

What Cities and Regions Can Offer

Special attention will be given to the question of what businesses need from cities and regions to accelerate the adoption of circular solutions – and how public authorities can respond to these needs through enabling policies, targeted incentives, and collaboration platforms. The workshop will also address digital tools supporting circular practices and the possibilities of scaling them into region-wide applications.

Co-Creating Solutions Together

In facilitated group sessions, participants will jointly develop concrete ideas on motivators, collaboration models, and training formats that foster long-term commitment to circular transformation. The outcome will be a set of recommendations on how businesses and cities can mutually reinforce each other: how companies can contribute to urban sustainability, how cities can enable industrial circularity, and how joint action can strengthen circular ecosystems across regions and sectors.

More information about the conference is available on the organiser's website and about the project on the REUSE2030 website.

The REUSE2030 project is supported by the Interreg Central Europe Programme.
