We know the winners of DEMODAY, final event of DEXIC Accelerator!

All 7 startups were working hard on their business and presentation skills. At this evening, they were competing with their pitches for investors. The participants came to listen to

• Wattmanager – monitoring and energy savings
• Nice Visions – automating the design of solar installations
• BioChain – health blockchain solutions
• InoCure – membrane for more efficient drug development
• LokCheck –  app for construction projects
• Regnos – QuickTwin – process automation in companies
• D-tag – social media analysis

The Competition

The jury had a difficult task in choosing the best digital startup pitch. After each pitch, the jury had 5 minutes for questions. After careful evaluation of each presenting startup, the first place was awarded to InoCure. Did you know that the development of a new drug takes approximately 13 years? InoCure developed a biomimicking 3D cell culture membrane with fibrous morphology that can significantly shorten the time needed for new drug development, supports animal-free life science research and saves lots of finances.

The second place belongs to LokCheck. They deliver project management and automation tool for construction projects. With their app, project managers can better plan the tasks and thus decrease time delays and save money. The third place goes to Regnos with their product QuickTwin. QuickTwin is a digital twin of an organization that can increase the productivity of the company. It provides an online overview, facilitates management and helps with business process automation.

The jury panel for #DEMODAY pitch competition was composed of the international professionals covering all evaluated criteria – Mikolaj Gurdala from EIT Health, Evgeny Frolov, Business Development Director of ITACA Business Incubator; Jaroslav Novák from ePace Consultancy Agency and Jan Kubalík, CEO of DEX Innovation Centre.

DEXIC Accelerator programme

DEXIC Accelerator is a 6-week programme that takes place in the city of Liberec.  This year, 140 digital startups have applied. The applications came not only from the Czech Republic and Slovakia but also from other parts of Europe and the world including Asia or Russia. After the two-round selection process,  7 selected promising startups have been focusing on the acceleration of their core competencies in 4 areas – Product, Business Model, Negotiations with Investors and above all, Marketing and Sales.    

“#DEMODAY was the final public event of DEXIC Accelerator. The programme aimed to support digital startups, which we strongly believe, have innovative ideas with the high potential to bring new and enriching products to society. Often are in the need of capital or lacking some additional skills” says the Head Mentor, Jan Kubalík.
