EIT Health and DEX Innovation Centre (EIT Health hub in the Czech Republic) organize DEXIC Hack powered by EIT Health organized during the weekend of 16. 10-16.12. 2020 in Liberec, the Czech Republic.

The aim of this hackathon is to find advanced technological solutions on defined challenges of a lung ventilator next development process. 

Morning Health Talk on Future of digital health and telemedicine, organized on 25.9. as a hybrid event, connected more than 20 Czech stakeholders with 2 fantastic guest speakers from Estonia and Israel - countries that are scoring top positions in terms of their readiness and deployment of digital health and telemedicine solutions. 

EIT Health and DEX Innovation Centre (EIT Health hub in the Czech Republic) would like to personally invite you to the EIT Health Morning Health Talk that we organize together on 25.9.2020 from 9:30 as a hybrid event both at Opero, Prague, and virtually.

The aim of EIT Health Morning Health Talk, in general, is to inspire through sharing valuable information about the tendencies of health innovations and strengthen communication, networking and activities of the local ecosystem stakeholders.

HelloAIRIS is an online AI training program designed to introduce participants to the basics of Artificial Intelligence that will take place from 15 June until 10th August 2020. If you are a student or a practising doctor or radiologist, this programme is tailor-made for you! 

The world is currently fighting the coronavirus in the best possible ways. Many companies, startups and universities are joining forces to empower the medical staff and other people fighting in the first line. So, how do we and companies around us respond? 

After careful internal evaluation and due to the given circumstances, we have decided to cancel all planned EIT Health roadshow stops. We still want to meet with you virtually - we will be happy to answer all your questions regarding the support from EIT Health.

The roadshow is going to introduce EIT Health programmes, activities and opportunities and DEX IC´s activities among university researchers and students, startups and innovative teams and other interested participants. We are going to visit 3 Czech cities - Pilsen, Brno and Prague during 16-19.3.2020. Each stop includes morning part for students and researchers at the university and afternoon/evening part for startups in the local innovation hub.

Our Prague representative office in UP21 Incubator hosted on 15th January the first public presentation and discussion on the CE-Connector project, that aims to create a central European co-investment fund for investments to early-stage startups from a cooperation of business angels and public institutions (the so-called ACIF - Angel co-investment fund). 

StarShipis an EIT Health educational initiative in collaboration with leading European academic, and health industry partners. Using a blend of different educational approaches including elements from Stanford Biodesign Concept, StarShip is a unique opportunity for participants to be involved in industry-driven life science innovation, working together with innovators in and outside the companies in highly skilled multidisciplinary teams.

EIT Health RIS 2020 innovation call aims at funding high-quality, strong, balanced projects, targeting EIT Health’s six Focus Areas to be developed by local actors including both academic and non-academic partners in collaboration with EIT RIS hubs. 

On November 1st, we organized local EIT Health Innovation Day in Prague. Students have been given the task to design smart glasses for seniors with mild cognitive impairment. The winning team consisting of three young women did an excellent job! They won a trip to Paris to the Winners Event where they had a chance to further work on their idea.

SMART4MD Roadshow took place in the Czech Republic during October and November 2019. Three events took place in UP21, Prague; CVUT, Prague and Regional Reseach Library in Liberec with goal to raise awareness of public in the challenges of mild dementia and developed SMART4MD platform and its benefits for people with mild dementia, their carers and healthcare professionals.

In the afternoon, on Monday, November 25, we would love to meet you in the Regional Research Library in Liberec, where the event "Discussion on Mild Dementia" is going to take place. You will learn what are its symptoms, or what should you do in case it appears in your family.

EIT Health Innovation Day took place on Friday, November 1, in the premises of the Czech Technical University, CIIRC in Prague. Almost 40 visitors have attended the Health Innovation event where they learned how to develop and present an innovative product. And in the end, they designed different kinds of smart glasses for seniors.

CLC Study visit for EIT Health InnoStars currently takes places in Oxford. From 26th to 28th June, OXENTIA hosts a study visit to provide an introduction to Oxford's innovation ecosystem which is renowned for being both forward-looking and for the support that it has provided to innovators from a diversity of backgrounds.
