This will ensure that the product/service is designed for seniors’ needs and they will use it.

EIT Health and DEX Innovation Centre (EIT Health hub in the Czech Republic) would like to personally invite you to the EIT Health Morning Health Talk that we organize together on 25.9.2020 from 9:30 as a hybrid event both at Opero, Prague, and virtually.

The aim of EIT Health Morning Health Talk, in general, is to inspire through sharing valuable information about the tendencies of health innovations and strengthen communication, networking and activities of the local ecosystem stakeholders.

We will be very glad if you will join us together with other 20 Czech personally invited future thinking healthcare professionals - representatives of governmental organizations, healthcare providers, universities, science and research institutions, professional organizations, companies, startups and individuals.

Primer, pre-acceleration programme for early-stage startups, has recently started with 19 motivated and innovative teams. During the 1st session on Monday, June 8th, they focused on the Lean Startup Methodology. 

The Czech Republic has chosen its startup champion to represent the country at the Grand Final of the PowerUp! Challenge. Pocket Virtuality is the winner, which, along with advancing to the June Grand Final, also won the prestigious InnoEnergy Startup of the Year. Pocket Virtuality will compete with the winning startups of Country Finals from another 23 European countries.

The overall winner will receive a prize of 50,000 euros, the possibility of investing millions of euros and the title of European leader. PowerUp! Challenge is an international startup competition, which takes place under the auspices of InnoEnergy and offers the opportunity to become another unicorn in the organization's portfolio.

On Wednesday, January 15th, InnoEnergy opens applications to PowerUp! 2020, challenge for Energy, Mobility, CleanTech, CyberSec, Smog or SmartCities startups in Central-Eastern Europe! 

Representatives of companies, public administration, universities and research institutions and organizations providing social care have met all together in Prague. They discussed common problems and further cooperation in the HoCare2.0 project. These participants will be part of the Co-creation Lab in the Czech Republic.

The roadshow is going to introduce EIT Health programmes, activities and opportunities and DEX IC´s activities among university researchers and students, startups and innovative teams and other interested participants. We are going to visit 3 Czech cities - Pilsen, Brno and Prague during 16-19.3.2020. Each stop includes morning part for students and researchers at the university and afternoon/evening part for startups in the local innovation hub.

Our Prague representative office in UP21 Incubator hosted on 15th January the first public presentation and discussion on the CE-Connector project, that aims to create a central European co-investment fund for investments to early-stage startups from a cooperation of business angels and public institutions (the so-called ACIF - Angel co-investment fund). 

We are opening the second round of registrations to the InnoSchool Innovative Education System (ILS) Pilot. The call is open to all schools from Prague, Liberec, Ústí and Hradec Králové regions. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we have prolonged the deadline for applications until 31st August 2020.

StarShipis an EIT Health educational initiative in collaboration with leading European academic, and health industry partners. Using a blend of different educational approaches including elements from Stanford Biodesign Concept, StarShip is a unique opportunity for participants to be involved in industry-driven life science innovation, working together with innovators in and outside the companies in highly skilled multidisciplinary teams.

EIT Health RIS 2020 innovation call aims at funding high-quality, strong, balanced projects, targeting EIT Health’s six Focus Areas to be developed by local actors including both academic and non-academic partners in collaboration with EIT RIS hubs.
